## Summer SAT Intensive 2026: Break 1450 Before School Starts

Summer is the highest-leverage time to prepare for the Digital SAT. No homework. No finals. No distractions. Just six focused weeks to master the logic and pacing strategies that separate a 1200 from a 1480 — before your junior year even begins.

Gangnam Prep’s Summer SAT Intensive is a small-group program taught by Olivia Bang, the same tutor behind our students’ 200+ point improvements. This is not a recorded course or a packet of practice tests. Every session is live, taught directly by Olivia, with real-time feedback and personalized strategy work built into every class.

**Cohort size is capped at 8 students. There are no exceptions.**

## Program Details

| | |
|—|—|

| **Sessions** | 3x per week, 90 minutes per session |
| **Duration** | 6 weeks |
| **Start Date** | June 2026 (exact date confirmed at enrollment) |
| **Location** | Diamond Bar, CA + Zoom option available |
| **Target** | Students currently scoring 1050–1380 |
| **Goal** | 1400–1500+ by fall test dates |

## What’s Included

Every student in the summer intensive receives:

– **Full Anchor Test** on Day 1 — a complete proctored Digital SAT to establish a precise baseline by question type and error category
– **Logic-First Framework™ training** — the same core method used in Gangnam Prep’s 1:1 sessions. Treats the SAT as a logic and argument comprehension test, not a reading or content test.
– **3-Round Scan & Strike™ pacing** — a time-boxed, multi-pass strategy designed specifically for the Digital SAT’s adaptive module structure
– **Seven wrong-answer category training** — students learn to name and recognize every category of distractor, which eliminates guessing and builds systematic confidence
– **15-Second Desmos Rule™ and Minimum-Steps Math training** — for students leaving points on the table in the Math module despite strong underlying math skills
– **One mid-program diagnostic** to track progress against the Anchor Test baseline
– **Final mock test** in the last week under real test conditions

## Who This Is For

The Summer Intensive is designed for students who:

– Are entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in Fall 2026
– Are currently scoring between 1050 and 1380 on the Digital SAT
– Are targeting 1400+ for test-optional applications to USC, NYU, Boston University, Cal Poly SLO, or similar
– Want a structured, proven program — not another set of practice tests to do on their own

This program is **not** for students who need basic academic remediation. The Logic-First Framework requires students who can engage with argument-based material at grade level. The methodology accelerates students who already have a foundation — it gives them the strategic layer that was missing.

## Why Summer Is the Right Time

Fall SAT test dates in 2026 fall in August, October, and November. A student who starts prep in June arrives at those dates with 6+ weeks of structured training and at least two full scored diagnostics. That is the difference between guessing on a test and executing a strategy you’ve practiced 50 times.

Students who wait until September are running out of time before they understand the method. Students who prep in summer walk into October feeling prepared — which changes their test-day performance at a level that no amount of last-minute cramming can replicate.

## This Is Still Olivia’s Program

The summer intensive is small by design. Eight students means Olivia knows every student’s error profile. She knows who rushes Round 1 and who stalls on hard passages. She gives real feedback in class — not generic tips.

This is not a Kaplan class. Not a C2 group session. Not a recorded video from a course platform.

It is Olivia Bang, in a room of eight motivated students, doing the same work she does in her 1:1 sessions — with the efficiency and accountability of a group format.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Is this the same as Gangnam Prep’s 1:1 program?

The curriculum is identical. The Logic-First Framework, Anchor Test, 3-Round Scan & Strike, and wrong-answer category training are all built into every session. The difference is format — you’re in a class of eight students instead of working alone with Olivia. For motivated students, the group dynamic accelerates learning because students hear each other’s reasoning errors corrected in real time.

### What score range should my student be in to benefit?

The sweet spot is 1050–1380. Students below that range may have content gaps the intensive doesn’t address. Students above 1380 typically benefit more from 1:1 sessions targeting their specific remaining errors. If you’re unsure, [book a free consultation](/contact) — Olivia will tell you honestly which format fits your student.

### Is Zoom available?

Yes. Students who cannot attend in person can join via Zoom with no reduction in curriculum or instruction quality. Remote students are expected to participate in the same class format — camera on, annotation tools active, full engagement.

### When exactly does it start?

The June cohort start date is confirmed upon enrollment. [Contact us](/contact) to reserve your spot and receive the full schedule.

### What if my student misses a session?

Each session is recorded for enrolled students only. Missed sessions can be reviewed via recording, though in-person or Zoom attendance is strongly encouraged — the real-time correction of errors is a core part of how the method works.

### How is this different from self-study with Khan Academy or a prep book?

Self-study tools give you content and practice. They do not give you a trained instructor watching your wrong-answer patterns in real time and correcting the reasoning process before bad habits solidify. The gap between a student who studies alone and a student who trains with a systematic methodology under expert feedback is measurable — and it shows up on the score report.
